What affects the price
- Length and amount of timber being replaced
- Whether matching profiles or timber species are available
- Whether the damage extends past what is visible
- Painting or staining after the repair
Photos help. Helpful photos: the whole item plus a close photo of the damage and the end profile of the timber, which helps us match it.
When more information is needed. Most small timber repairs can be estimated from photos. A site visit is the honest answer where rot may extend behind a wall or floor, or where the repair may be structural.

Can you match our existing skirting profile?
Often yes. Send a photo of the cut end and we will tell you whether a stock profile matches or whether it needs to be made up.
Is rotten timber always a replacement?
No. A localised section can often be cut out and spliced in. If the rot has spread or the cause is ongoing water, we will tell you before spending your money on a repair that will not last.
