The selling agent handed over a list of small repairs before buyers arrived. None was major on its own, but together they made the home feel less cared for. We prioritised the visible items buyers would notice first and kept the list to work that made sense before sale, not a renovation.
None of the jobs was urgent enough to call someone straight away, and that was exactly why they kept getting postponed. A sticking door, a loose fitting, a damaged wall and a cabinet problem slowly became a list. We grouped them into one organised visit.
Sometimes an item looks bad enough that replacement seems the obvious answer. Before recommending it, we check what has actually failed, whether the surrounding material is sound, and whether a repair will hold and still makes financial sense. Repair when practical; replace when that is genuinely better.

Labour prices shown are starting prices and include GST. Parts and materials are additional unless stated otherwise. For shorter standalone bookings, an $89 incl. GST small-job call-out applies; for bookings expected to require 3.5 labour hours or more, we waive it. Final pricing depends on scope, condition, access and complexity.

John did a number of jobs for us. He has great attention to detail and takes care in the work he does. His communication was excellent throughout the whole job — he explained everything clearly and kept us updated at each stage. He is a very kind, honest and reliable person. His quotation was clear and reasonable, and he stuck to the agreed price. There were also a few areas where John did more work than originally quoted, but he didn’t charge us anything extra. He helped remove a lot of flaking paint from the ceiling in a few rooms, then patched and repainted the affected areas. At the end, there was a small issue that needed attention, and John responded very quickly and came back to fix it without any hesitation. We are very happy with his work and would definitely recommend John to anyone looking for a careful, honest and reliable handyman.
