Lock replacement
A lock that is stiff, loose, hard to turn or no longer lines up with the strike plate is often an alignment or worn-hardware problem. We check why it is failing, then adjust it or replace the lock or lever set with one that suits the door.

What the job usually includes
- Replacing worn or damaged lever sets, knobs and passage locks
- Fitting new deadbolts and entrance sets to suitable doors
- Installing customer-supplied smart locks on compatible doors
- Adjusting strike plates so the door latches cleanly
- Tightening or refitting loose handles and roses

What affects the price
- Whether the existing holes and door thickness suit the new lock
- Number of locks and whether you want them keyed alike
- Supply of the lock, or fitting one you have already bought
- Whether the door or frame needs repair before the lock will work

When more information is needed. Most lock replacements can be estimated over the phone with a couple of photos. We may need more information if the door is damaged or the new lock needs different holes.

Usually yes, as long as it suits the door. Tell us the brand and model when you call and we will check it fits before the visit.
Do you do emergency lockouts?
No. For a lockout, call a locksmith. We handle planned lock replacement and adjustment.
