What the job usually includes

  • Touch-up painting after repairs
  • Single walls, rooms, doors, frames and trims
  • Surface preparation, filling, sanding and cutting in
  • Colour matching as a separately priced option
  • Protecting floors and furniture in the work area

Not included

  • • Full exterior house repaints and roof coatings
  • • Lead-paint removal and asbestos-related work
  • • A guarantee that a touch-up will be invisible on aged paint
  • • Paint supply unless included in your quote

What affects the price

  • Area, number of coats and surface condition
  • Whether the existing colour is known or must be matched
  • Preparation and repair required before painting
  • Access, ceiling height and furniture to be moved

Photos help. Helpful photos: the whole wall in natural daylight, plus any paint tin label or colour name you still have.

When more information is needed. Touch-ups and single rooms are usually quotable from photos. An assessment is more useful for whole-house work, unclear surface condition or colour matching in difficult light.

Questions about this job

Can you match our existing colour?

Often yes. Matching is a separate charge because it takes a sample and a tinting visit. If the paint tin or colour name still exists, matching is faster and cheaper.

Do you do end-of-lease touch-ups?

Yes. Presentation touch-ups before a sale, inspection or handover are common work. Cleaning does not guarantee return of a rental bond unless expressly agreed in writing.
