Timber sills and frames rot where paint has failed and water sits. Windows stick, catches loosen and winders wear out. We repair the timber where a repair will last, replace worn hardware, and tell you plainly when a window is past repair.

Photos help. Helpful photos: the whole window from outside, a close photo of any damage, and the catch or winder if that is the problem. Take them from a safe standing position.
When more information is needed. Small hardware and timber repairs can often be estimated from photos. Rot that may extend into the wall, or a full window replacement, usually needs more information first.

Can you replace broken glass?
No. Broken glass needs a glazier. We can repair the timber frame and repaint once the glass is done.
Is a rotten sill always a new window?
No. A localised rotten section can often be cut out and repaired. If the rot has spread through the frame, we will tell you before you spend money on a repair that will not last.
