How much does it cost to hang pictures or install shelves?
Labour starts from $69 for pictures and $89 for shelving, including GST. Parts and materials are additional unless stated otherwise. Pricing can be affected by the number of items, the weight and size of each item, the wall type and stud positions, and whether fixings or brackets need to be supplied. A starting price is not a fixed quote; the accepted quote sets the scope.
Can you hang a heavy mirror?
Heavy mirrors are fixed with suitable brackets or cleats, with fixings chosen to suit the wall and the weight. Fixing heavy items where the wall has no safe fixing point is not included.
Will floating shelves hold books?
It depends on the shelf's hidden bracket and what is behind the plasterboard. Tell us what you plan to put on them and we will explain what is realistic. No universal weight limit applies.
Can you hang several pictures in one visit?
Yes. Grouping several items into one visit is usually better value than booking them separately.
Can you refix a shelf that has come loose?
Yes, refixing loose shelves is included. Custom-built joinery is covered under carpentry and timber repairs.
